Personal Statement of Ministry

I see ministry as a call to embody the infinite mystery of the spiritual essence of the human being. By embody I mean to be a living incarnation of the divine possibility that all life is. More than ever today, people need accessible examples of how to live a spirit-filled life. For those called to ministry, this is an awesome responsibility and privilege that cannot be accomplished alone. The minister must walk hand in hand with her fellow travelers on the journey in one hand and with God in the other. The minister is the bridge, the channel, a source…

To be an Interfaith Minister is to be firmly grounded in one’s own spiritual practice and at the same time to embody the whole Truth – that all spiritual traditions are righteous and true. It is to honor the diversity of God, humanity and all creation. It is to hear and respond to the voices of Mother Earth, Krishna, Buddha, the Dao, all the Hebrew prophets, Jesus, Mohammed… and to remain awake, aware and open to new voices that are emergent. God always speaks, we have only to listen…
